The Juicy Reviews - Part deux

People, people, people! Don’t tell me you really want to miss out on all this sweet Lights Out action! I mean if you weren’t at Ziggy’s Bar over at Frigate Bay this last Saturday, 14th July 2007, you really missing out! Rain was threatening to ruin the lime for everybody, but it dissipated and sure enough the crowd built gradually and gradually until there was hardly a square inch to stand on. You think that stopped Miss Juicy from rolling all this plump juiciness ‘round and ‘round and up and down when Lights Out starting playing Alison Hinds’ “Roll it”? Hell to the no!  Work it, Miss Juicy, work it! Work it, Miss Juicy, work it! Ok, I digress, but just let me let you know, Miss Juicy got some moves!

Enough about me, let me tell you about the full-bodied show they put on. These youngsters are no light weights. From their repertoire of original tunes and a selection of reggae, soul and zouk they segued to hits like “Guantanamera” and the Burning Flames’ “Chook and Dig”. And for an added touch of professional swagger, there was a segment of pure musicality that featured the style and flair of bass man, Revi , on a new track that ought to make their debut album!

You think I’m the only one touting this bands praises? Mr. World, of the Small Axe Band, so stirred by their performance, actually took the mike to congratulate the young band on their steady improvement and success and to compliment their high quality of music selections and executions – a speech that provoked a standing ovation from the audience, I might add! The owner of Ziggy’s bar was so impressed by Lights Out professionalism and ability to steer a mixed crowd of locals and tourists into a bacchanal frenzy, I heard he offered them a regular gig on Friday nights.   Miss Juicy will see you there, right?
